The idea of being “human” is associated with values like compassion and altruism, but these ideals are rarely practiced. Be “human” being, is to take empathy and helping others, however these ideals are rarely practiced. Deep down, our species seems to act in a bestial and predatory way, unlike most animals. We are self-destructive, demonstrating cruelty and selfishness, which contradicts the idealized vision of humanity. While animals follow natural and balanced instincts, humans stray from that balance, revealing themselves to be distant from the true essence of what it means to be “human”.

Human beings do not exist. There are only animals.
