Encantarias exhibition

Parque Glória Maria, 2025

In January 2025, I was invited to design the exhibition display for Encantarias at the Galeria do Parque Glória Maria. The exhibition featured 56 art objects with a variety of surfaces, colors, and textures, which made the development of the project particularly engaging. The gallery spans 100 m², providing significant freedom for spatial organization and configuration. The building currently showcases various textures from different periods—such as stone, concrete, and steel—whereas the exhibition elements were remarkably delicate and colorful. This backdrop provided by the gallery created a compelling contrast with the artworks. This led to the design gesture of creating a delicate, intimate internal ambiance in relation to the building's exterior. Fabric was explored as an architectural element: a curtain between the interior and exterior, a light filter for the internal atmosphere, and a wall covering. This was intended to create a diversity of environments within the exhibition. The art objects also form "clouds" that visitors can walk through, blurring the boundary between the spectator and the artwork.
