What remains of a house when it is demolished? Rubble? Furniture? Objects? Clothes? And what about memories? Unfortunately, in many urban gentrification processes, many people lose the places they hold dear. Memory is responsible for preserving elements essential to identity, feelings, culture, and other factors. In this work, I have incorporated elements that evoke a house that once stood on this very spot. I am reoccupying a space that was once used in a different way. Furthermore, I aim to tell the story of this place through hanging photographs that reveal the dimensions and characteristics of that house. Currently, all that remains outside the installation is a modern building from the 1960s, which houses the museum.
Material salvaged from scrap yards: Screws and Nuts _ 20 + Bamboo and Wood Slats 5m + Household items _ 22 items + Cotton and polyester lines _ 30m + Miscellaneous items _ 10 items
